Steamforged Games have just announced their latest tabletop foray into the Lands Between in the form of two new core boxes for ELDEN RING™: The Board Game – Machinations of the Witch and Dominion of Rot, both of which are launching soon on Gamefound.

The first crowdfunding campaign, which included three core boxes (Realm of the Grafted King, Weeping Peninsula, and Stormveil Castle), raised £3.3 million from more than 13,000 backers in 2022, focusing on Limgrave and iconic enemies such as Godrick the Grafted and Margit the Fell Omen. Now, players will have the chance to begin, or continue, their tabletop journey in the dangerous regions of Liurnia and Caelid.

As in the previous ELDEN RING™ board game boxes, currently available at retail, players will band together with fellow Tarnished to explore vast and decaying landscapes, cross paths with familiar characters, uncover the lore, and face iconic enemies using an armoury of equipment. Together, they will fight for the blessings of gods — and the strength to challenge them.

Both Machinations of the Witch and Dominion of Rot are core boxes, meaning they can be played as standalone, self-contained experiences or combined for a grander campaign. Each box is bursting with miniatures representing video game characters and enemies in high detail. Further expansions will be revealed soon.

The new boxes can also be combined with existing boxes from the first campaign, so players can take their Tarnished characters forward from Limgrave into Liurnia and Caelid, just as they can in the video game.
Mat Hart, co-founder and Chief Creative Officer at Steamforged Games, said:

“With the first core boxes, we built an engine we’re extremely proud of — one that pushed the boundaries of tabletop combat to recreate the challenging fights of the video game. Now, we’re expanding on the engine and world to give tabletop players an even deeper experience full of meaningful decisions, twisting narrative paths, and bosses to sink their teeth into. Those interested in learning more should make sure to follow the Gamefound page ahead of launch, as we’ve got plenty of cool reveals to come!”
