DC have just dropped an advance preview of DC K.O.: Knightfight # 1 from writer Joshua Williamson and artist Dan Mora ahead of its release on the 5th of November 2025.
Speaking about the series, which serves as a tie-in to the company’s autumn “DC K.O.” event, Williamson said: “In the past, Bruce has often questioned his role as Batman, and whether the sidekicks he’s trained might one day surpass him. Now, he gets to see that play out firsthand. I also love throwing Batman into wild, unexpected battles, facing off against opponents he’d never normally encounter. Once he realizes what’s really going on, he can finally cut loose.”
He continued, adding: “These fights are emotionally charged, but at their core, this is a FIGHT COMIC, packed with big, over-the-top action. Batman faces off against Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damian in newly created versions of Gotham, each one shaped by the Heart of Apokolips. These worlds reflect the essence of each character, and are designed specifically to defeat Bruce.”
He also sung the praises of co-creator Mora, saying “Dan is incredible, a legend, and an amazing creative partner. Because these issues are so fight-heavy, I leave a lot more room in the scripts for him to go wild. He’s also designing entirely new worlds, new costumes, new versions of Gotham, and new Batmen. We’re still aiming to have a ton of fun with it, and Dan always delivers on that front.”
