Tell me looking at that cover, no matter how you feel about Iron Fist doesn’t get you totally pumped about this new series!

Kaare Andrews returns to Marvel in April to take on Writing, Drawing and Colouring duty on

Iron Fist : The Living Weapon.

It’s been a while since Danny Rand last had his own solo run (The acclaimed Immortal Iron Fist series ended in 2007) despite being a Marvel mainstay for 40 odd years and it seems Andrews is planning to return him to his violent and bloody origins.

Far from the Iron Fist we saw in the Fraction/Brubaker/Aja run, Andrews took inspiration for his series from Iron Fists first appearance in Marvel Premier #15 and is taking Danny Rand back on a bloody and brutal quest for revenge. This wont be some corny chop socky tale, instead we will have a truly gritty, violent tale of kung fu, revenge and the consequences that come from rejecting immortal life in persuit of Death.
