It looks like Hell has finally frozen over as 2000AD are finally reprinting the banned episodes of The Cursed Earth.

In what must be the most surprising move in comics this year, 2000AD are going to answer every Dredd fan’s dreams next July with the release of the full, uncensored Cursed Earth saga.

The 1978 epic has never been seen in its full form since the original progs were released due to not one, but two run-ins with copyright issues.

Burger Wars saw a satirical conflict between McDonalds and Burger King, while Giants Aren’t Gentlemen incurred the wrath of the Jolly Green Giant corn company.

Both stories resulted in lawsuits, with the settlement meaning neither story could ever be reprinted.

That appears to have now changed.

Written by Pat Mills, John Wagner and Jack Adrian with art by Mike McMahon, Brian Bolland, The Cursed Earth was the first Judge Dredd mega-epic and is still regarded as one of the very best.

More on this incredible news when we get it.

What about the chapters of this saga with the Cnel. Sanders of KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) and the pills of Alka Seltzer? Will they publish them too?

    1. Yes they will be published too considering it was the owners of Jolly Green Giant who brought the original lawsuit. McDonald’s never threatened any legal action but the owners of 2000AD decided it was best not to re-publish the story.

This is The Cursed Earth, complete.
