1504002_643381709041422_92051625_nWell, we have another twelve months under our belt here at the Big Comic Page, and in what has been one of the most consistently impressive years for comicbooks in recent memory, we’re thrilled to be able to take a moment and look back at what 2015 has meant to us.

Once again, while there have been some notable exceptions, the bulk of the exciting, innovative comics on the shelves these days aren’t coming from the “big two”, but instead from publishers like Image, BOOM! Studios and Dark Horse.  There are so many truly unique creator-owned books going on sale every week that it can sometimes be difficult for readers to keep up, and we’ve taken great pride in our ongoing mission statement to continue to spread the word about some of these ‘other’ books as much as we possibly can.

The last twelve months have also seen us continue to grow the BCP ‘brand’, with our reputation for putting together well thought-out, impartial reviews on a consistent basis continuing to open doors for us in the comicbook press world.  We’re thrilled to be able to continue our productive, mutually-beneficial relationships with some of the biggest publishers and conventions in the business today, and are continually humbled by the kind words shared about us by creators, both locally and internationally.

While we may not be as big as some of the other comicbook sites out there, we’re definitely making a noticeable impact, with press blurbs and cover quotes on books from Image, Dark Horse, BOOM! Studios, Dynamite, IDW, Titan and many more over the last year.  We’ve also added several passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic new faces to our roster in 2015, and are looking to keep expanding “team BCP” into 2016 and beyond.

As great as 2015 has been for us though, it’s still only the very tip of the iceberg for where we ultimately want to go, and we want to take a moment to thank everyone who has helped support us over the last twelve months, whether it’s by joining in the chat on our Facebook or Twitter, or even just clicking a link here and there to read about the latest comic releases.  Without you guys there probably wouldn’t even be a Big Comic Page (although we love what we do so much we’d probably still be here even if nobody was reading), and we hope you all stick with us as we keep trying to raise our game into the next year.

Here’s to 2016, and before we get started, here’s a quick recap of what some of our contributors enjoyed most over the last twelve months, as well as our most popular posts and – just for fun – some of our favourite interviews.

You can’t stop the signal!
