Is something ‘Sinister’ brewing at Sony?

Here is an interesting rumor, Colm Feore’s role in Amazing Spider-man 2 is said to be Adrian Toomes as in the Vulture. (Source: ComicBookMovie)

This would mean that Sony would have four major villains that they could take through to the third film, will they add another two and do the Sinister Six?
