Kevin Feige Sheds Light on Thanos
Head of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige is finally shedding a little light on the role Thanos has to play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it seems 2014’s Guardians Of The Galaxy movie will spill a few more beans.
After his post-credits scene in the first Avengers film it was widely assumed he would be making a full appearance in the sequel, but then Joss Whedon dropped that whole ‘Age of Ultron’ thing at San Diego Comic-Con.
In an interview with Empire, Feige said “Ronan The Accuser (Lee Pace) is very much the main bad guy. And Thanos is lurking above it all. You will learn more about Thanos in Guardians, for sure. Certainly you’ll get more than the one turn-around-and-smirk. You’ll get much more than that.”
Speaking about Gamora’s role in the film, he added “When we meet Gamora (Zoe Saldana), she’s a bad guy working with Ronan and Nebula and Korath, and by extension for Thanos”
It seems clear that Thanos will have a larger, over-arching role in phase 2 of the MCU, but it still remains unclear just how much we’e going to see of him.
