2953770-aquaman-justice-league4He’s the guy who made Aquaman awesome again, but today it was announced Geoff Johns would be leaving the title after issue #25, with Jeff Parker taking over writing duties from #26.

It’s news that will leave fans pretty gutted, but at least, in a break from the norm, It’s Johns’ own decision, rather than the usual editorial meddling that is becoming infamous at DC.

Since the New 52 started, the character has experienced a surge in popularity, and Aquaman has been continuously well received since Johns has been on the title. He’ll be sticking around on Justice League, but there is no doubt he will be missed by Aquaman readers.
