Volume 3 collects the first four issues from the 2004 relaunch of Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Volume Two, With the stories “Not Forgotten,” “Seeds of Destruction,” and the two-part “The Worms of Madness.”By Writer Steve Murphy and joined by artists Dario Brizuela, Jim Lawson, and Rick Remender.

I gotta say I found this quite disappointing when compared to IDW’s awesome ongoing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. The stories were nothing spectacular but my biggest gripe was with the art. Nothing really shines in this book and all of the art on the turtles is pretty inconsistent with the dimensions of characters changing from panel to panel which I found very off putting. If you have ever wanted to see Shredder re-incarnated as a mutant sharktopus (seriously) or Michaelangelo conjure some Lovecraftian portal thing then this book is for you otherwise it’s one for die hards and collectors only and offers not much else for anyone else.

Rating: 4.5/10.
