Dynamite Entertainment reviews – 9th October 2013

PrintCollected below are some advance reviews for a couple of tomorrow’s releases from Dynamite Entertainment.

And in case none of these tickle your fancy, here’s what else is hitting the shelves from Dynamite this week;

Damsels #10
Lords Of Mars #3 (Of 6)
Owl #4 (Of 4)
Pathfinder #9
Warlord Of Mars #28

Cryptozoic Man #1 (of 4)

(Dynamite Entertainment)

So before I review this comic maybe I should add a disclaimer that… Yeah I am a bit of a SMod/View Askiew fan. Why is that a necessary statement well I have made posts here and there and mentioned it and I don’t want to seem biased. Now as you will instantly know when you see this book in the store then yeah it is from the guys on Comic Book Men (as displayed prominently on the cover), In fact the story behind the book getting picked up was featured in the last episode of season 2 of the show and almost in time to coincide with season 3 is the books release.

Red Sonja #4

(Dynamite Entertainment)

I’ve always – somewhat ignorantly – dismissed Red Sonja in the past, assuming it to be pointless cheesecake fare; one-dimensional eye candy without much in the way of true storytelling merit.  Well, consider this review my official apology to the franchise.

Because I have no problems admitting that, well, this is actually pretty damn good.
