Today Marvel Comics announced that Alex “King of The Comic Book Cover” Ross is going to be Creating a series of Variant Covers for the company’s 75th Anniversary (including the Timely Comics era).

The Marvel Announcement read: “These stunning, gorgeously-rendered covers will grace select Marvel titles throughout 2014 and will feature a pantheon of characters from the Marvel Universe in the rich, highly detailed style only a talent like Alex Ross can produce,”

The Variant covers will be released in January and include this cover to Avengers #25.

Safe to say Mr. Ross has still got it
