Today, Screencrush.com reported on unused concepts for the Amazing Spider-man 2 costume. Now I should start by saying that while I, like everyone else was happy to see they were going for a more classic look with the costume for the new film, I was a fan of the one used in ASM, it put a nice wee spin on it. These are something entirely different though, and you’ll see why.
While they do appear to be reminiscent of the 2099 costume, they don’t exactly fit in the realistic world that we were introduced to last time round. There also seems to be far too much of a shiny ‘Iron Man’ feel to them that just doesn’t fit. Nice to see that the concept artists are trying something new, but in this case, it’s an “if it ain’t broke” kind of situation
