These 2 pieces of news seemed to fit together and admittedly weren’t picked up by us earlier but there is news on both the Marvel Studios front and Fox regarding the Family Maximoff. Over at Marvel, As pretty much everyone allready knew, had heard about or speculated on; it was announced that Kick-Ass’s Aaron Johnson and Elizabeth “Not-One-Of-The-Twins” Olsen have been cast in Avengers; Age of Ultron as Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch, respectively.

However, and this is the interesting part, Marvels own report refers to them as their Mutant Codenames as opposed to Pietro and Wanda Maximoff. Now this could simply be along the same lines as what happened when Anne Hathaway was announced as playing Selina Kyle in DKR, everyone asumed that meant she wasn’t going to be Catwoman. It could simply be that they were refered to as their more recognizable aliases, or (what i think is more likely) it has something to do with the Maximoff name and copyright issues with Fox, who are releasing Xmen: Days of Future Past.

Which leads us nicely one to………

bent4Over at the Fox lot, Being the most ever so sensitive of companies launched a viral campaign “The Bent Bullet” linking Magneto to the death of JFK (days after 50th the anniversary of his real assassination… hey they got a movie to sell). This had been speculated before after the success of X-Men: First Class as being the link forward. It now appears as though Days of Future Past will be be going down the Watchmen route of creating a parallel timeline similar to our own with historical events which is nothing new since First Class told the mutant take on the Cuban Missile crisis.

Yet the video does pose some questions and chief among them must be why there was no mention of the in continuity assassination in Singer’s previous X-Men movies then it could be assumed that this will be the point were time diverges.

So who shot Kennedy was it the mutant Erik Lensher or was it Lee Harvey Oswald?

X-Men: Days of Future Past opens “X-Men: Days of Future Past” in theaters May 23, 2014.
