Joseph Gordon Levitt as Sandman?!

Rumors coming in from Deadline tonight that JGL is finalizing a deal to star in and direct a SANDMAN feature film. word on the street that it will be David Goyer writing with JGL making his appearance as a director after this years DON JON, which he also starred in.

While i’ve always felt that the series would work more as a tv show or lots of mini series similar to what has been done with the BBC’s adaption of Sherlock, the names that are attached to teh project so far are giving me some hope.

Sandman was a comic series written by Neil Gaiman, about Morpheus/Dream of the endless and his exploits after being released from capture. The story goes on to feature many characters from literature including Shakespeare and Lucifer Himself.
