Well, this was always going to be a risk with quite so many mutants scheduled to appear, but it looks like Rogue’s lone scene in Days of Future Past (allegedly some sort of ‘rescue’ featuring Rogue, Xavier, Iceman and Magneto) has ended up of the cutting room floor.
On the subject, Director Bryan Singer told Entertainment Weekly “Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous. It’s a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go. Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she’s in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won’t appear in it.”
So what do you guys think? Are you disappointed not to see Rogue making the movie, or will the other 74 mutants (give or take) on the roster make up for it? Let us know.
X-Men: Days of Future Past hits cinemas May the 23rd 2014.
