Toad is the Latest Character Announced for X-Men: Days of Future Past
It appears as though the answer to the age old question “Do you know what happens to a toad when it’s struck by lightning?” has been found – You Retroactively insert another actor in the prequel!
Yes Toad is the latest actor to be confirmed to be in X-Men: Days of Future Past and this time we will see the younger version of the character played by Evan Jonigkeit.
The role previously played by actor/martial artist – Ray Park perhaps better known for his role as Snake Eyes or Darth Maul, Like that of Mystique in First Class has been recast. This was confirmed when the actor told MTV about the role saying;
“[‘Days of Future Past’] is huge and really exciting. I was so stoked to be working with all of these people. It was a really crazy experience.”
Added to this he also said how his role will tie in with that of the first X-Men movie;
I read a lot of the comic books. I found out the storyline of my character, who is Toad…. X-Men fans will know that Ray Park played him in the first movie, so it’s a generation story of how he came to be. It’s really cool.”
Perhaps this points the the formation of Magneto’s Brotherhood of Mutants, With Jennifer Lawrence returning as Mystique and Kick-Ass actor Evan Peters play Peitro Maximoff aka Quicksilver.
We will find out in 5 months as X-Men: Days of Future Past” arrives in theaters on May 23.
