This Sunday, Stan Lee will guest star on The Simpsons for the second time, appearing as a “Watcher”-style character to Comic Book Guy.

The episode, entitled “Married to the Blob”, sees Comic Book Guy realising that comics aren’t worth anything if he doesn’t have anyone to share them with.  He meets a Japanese woman writing an autobiographical manga, and tries to prove himself (and his comic store) worthy to her father to earn her hand in marriage.

On his return to the Fox show, Lee said “I was here 12 years ago, and I think I impressed them so that after 12 years, they figured they had to have me back.”

The episode will also feature a guest appearance from writer Harlan Ellison.
