USA Today have announced that a new creative team of Robert Venditti & Van Jensen (who have been co-writing DC’s “Green Lantern Corps”) alongside artist Brett Booth, are set to join DC’s ongling  Flash title with issue .

And their grand plans for the title are set to come into play shortly thereafter on April 30th with the Flash Annual , which will – and I quote – “reintroduce Wally West”.

On the subjecty of landing the Flash gig, Venditti said “From a very young age, one of the first things you want to be able to do is run fast. You don’t want to fly, you don’t want to have a ring that makes constructs out of light. It’s just a simple, basic thing: ‘I want to be able to run fast.’ It’s ingrained in our DNA, and here’s a character that lives that out.”

It looks like fan outcry has paid off, as fans of the character will finally get a New 52 version of their beloved Wally.

So, what do you guys make of this news? Are you among the legion of Wallymaniacs?
