Thomas Kretschmann joins cast of ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’
German actor Thomas Kretschmann has been cast as Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The actor’s name may not ring a bell straight away, but you may recently have seen him as Van Helsing in the TV drama ‘Dracula’. His role in the Avengers sequel certainly shouldn’t pose a challenge for him either; The character of Von Strucker is a former Nazi officer, and Kretschmann is no stranger to that type of role, having played similar parts in Stalingrad, Downfall, The Pianist, Eichmann, and The Nazi Officer’s wife.
