Batman vs Superman delayed until 2016

Warner Bros. have announced that their still untitled Batman/Superman movie, previously scheduled for July 17th 2015, has been pushed back to May 6th 2016.

The studio stated that the change was “to allow the filmmakers time to realize fully their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story.”

Interestingly, the move to May 2016 now puts the film head-to-head with an as-yet-unconfirmed Marvel Studios title.  Throwing down the gauntlet indeed.
