Night of the Living Deadpool review!
Night of The Living Deadpool
Written By Cullen Bunn
Art by Ramon Rosanas.
From the twisted mind of Cullen Bunn (Deadpool Killogy) comes Night of the living Deadpool! Issue 1 kicks off with our favourite red and black merc with a mouth awakening from an all you can eat chimichanga enduced food coma to discover that the world has come to an end and the city is overrun with the walking dead.
From here on we’re given a slight twist on the classic zombies we know and love (to see blown to bits) as these walkers are also talkers. It’s yet to be seen if this twist will serve any further purpose as the story develops but it seems the human conciousness is still alive and aware of whats going on but they have no control over their bloodthirsty actions.
As expected the jokes come fast and furious and theres plenty to keep smiles on faces for long term Deadpool fans, Unlike other Zombie titles though this one actually references the existence of zombies in other forms of media (the perks of breaking the fourth wall) and the artwork really shines as well due to the use of black and white with the only colour coming from the red and black of Deadpools outfit.
To sum things up and decide if this title is for you just answer these simple questions.
(A) Do you like Deadpool?
(B) Do you like Zombies?
(C) Do you like Jokes?
If you answered yes to the above, then this books is probably for you.
