Numerous reports are confirming Ben McKenzie, star of shows ‘The O.C. and ‘Southland’ as the lead role in FOX’s upcoming ‘Gotham’ TV show.

McKenzie is set to play young Detective James Gordon in the series, which will also feature a young Bruce Wayne, and numerous villain’s from Batman’s rogue’s gallery.

McKenzie is the show’s first casting announcement, and is actually no stranger to Gotham city, having voiced the caped crusader in the ‘Batman: Year One’ animated movie.
