Bright colours and simple yet effective artwork, characterisation via dialogue that doesn’t seem forced. Be still my beating heart!

Oh and spies, submarines, cannibals, lost cities and wretched hives of villainy, all set in the south seas, I presume sometime in the 1960s.

I love this book. It’s like James Bond’s twin turned into a sort of mercenary Indiana jones in a version of the south seas penned by Frank Miller.

I’m not exaggerating, this series looks to be a lot of fun and given how well-realised our main players are in the first issue – plus the three or four long term arcs that have already been seeded – I’d recommend you jump on board at the beginning.

No more spoilers, just buy it!

Rating: 5/5.
