Dredd sequel may not be a lost cause, as Urban confirms that “conversations” are currently underway
At the recent “Destination Star Trek” convention in Frankfurt, Germany, Karl Urban made some interesting comments when asked about the possibilities of a Dredd sequel.
Instead of the usual spirit-crushing “no, sadly not”, Urban confirmed that conversations are currently taking place between the studio, the director and writer Alex Garland. He also added that while Dredd’s cinematic release was poorly handled, the fanbase making themselves heard through DVD and Blu Ray sales has most definitely been noticed by the studio.
Obviously these are very, very early days, but this is definitely something for fans of the movie – myself included – to start feeling a just a little bit optimistic about.
