Marc Webb confirmed for ASM3, a Spidey movie every year!

There was initially some confusion as to whether director Marc Webb would work on more of Sony’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ movies, due to contractual commitments with rival studio FOX, but he ultimately signed on for the upcoming sequel, an has now been confirmed for a third movie in the series.

Sony Pictures Entertainment co-chairman Amy Pascal has also outlined the studio’s commitment to the franchise: “We are expanding the ‘Spider-Man’ universe into ‘The Sinister Six’ and ‘Venom,’ so that we have ‘Spider-Man’ movies every year.”

That’s a whole lotta movies in not a whole lotta time, so It’ll be interesting to see how Sony’s Spidey-universe unfolds over the next couple of years. As always, watch this space for more news as we get it.
