Chloe Bennet confirms just what Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s “blue alien” actually is!

KreeMarvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has started on an upward trend since “Uprising” however the show has been going out of its way lately to reach out for guest stars. Bill Paxton has a recurring role as the hot headed agent, John Garrett, despite the show returning on April 1, 2014. That hasn’t slowed down the casting announcements including talent like Patton Oswalt, Adrian Pasdar, and most recently Amy Acker have all been scheduled to make an appearance. That’s all well and well, but it was Jaimie Alexander’s Lady Sif that provided one of the best episodes this season “Yes Men” and got us closer to Marvel’s Cinematic Universe.

“Yes Men” featured a conversation between Agent Coulson and Lady Sif about blue skinned aliens. Rattling off the names like Mentadites, Levians, Fairgots, Kree, Saks, Centurions, and Frost Giants. Although the show hasn’t explicitly told us the identity of the alien, Marvel fans are certain the alien is a Kree. Chloe Bennet who plays Skye might have accidentally let the cat out of the bag during an interview at Paley Fest.

The Kree have a strong presence in the comics creating the Inhumans, which is another group Marvel Studios is considering for a future movie, as well as the Cosmic Cube. Coinciding with Marvel’s plan to include Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet the Tesseract or cosmic cube has been amalgamated into the Infinity Gems. Marvel Studios proved to the world they know how to plan a franchise; they have films planned to 2021. There are even rumors of a Ms. Marvel movie since she has a longstanding relationship with the blue humanoid aliens. If Marvel manages to pull this off, then Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or more specifically “Yes Men” could reveal another story for the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) like Odin/Loki recruiting Lorelei for a team of warriors.

Tell us what you think of the whole thing in the comments below. Did you know it was a Kree the whole time, or where you hoping for something else? Which Marvel character are you excited to see get their own movie? Does this change your outlook on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns with “End of the Beginning” on April 1, 2014. I don’t think it’s an April Fool’s joke.

  1. It was obviously Kree. I feel that they would want to include the Kree-Skrull War plot line from Secret Invasion.

  2. Well I knew it was one of the races described by Sif…I suppose maybe I was hoping for….Frost Giant? And…I’m also one of the ones that will rally for Loki’s good side…..meh.

  3. Geheneris HalaSon Mahr Vehl?

Kree were always my front-runners, as they seemed the most logical for world-building purposes. The only other real contender, I thought, was the Centurians, due to the Guardians connection.
