With the sequel to ‘Man of Steel’ adding Batman, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg to it’s cast, many have assumed that the film would, at some point, just be re-named ‘Justice League’, with the roster expanding even further in the coming months.
Well, it appears that won’t be the case, as Warner Bros. has now confirmed that the upcoming sequel will lead into a ‘Justice League’ movie, for which a script is already in development.
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Greg Silverman, WB’s president of worldwide production, also revealed that ‘Man of Steel’ director Zack Snyder is set to direct the movie, although it is unlikely to see release before 2018.
The interview also revealed that the studio has several other films in development based on DC and Vertigo titles including ‘Shazam’, ‘Metal Men’, ‘100 Bullets’, and ‘Fables’, although they won’t be connected to the Justice League movie universe.
And as far as a Wonder Woman solo movie? There is still hope. In the same interview, Sue Kroll, president of worldwide marketing, said execs are keen on the idea : “With the right script, that could be viable. The world is ready for her.”
We knew a ‘Justice League’ movie would come along at some point, so aside from the characters already cast, who would be your dream line-up, and who would you have in the roles?
