Dexter’s Laboratory, the comic that no one knew that they wanted…until now!

What an incredible idea, bring back the beloved Dexter and his devilish laboratory in comic form. IDW’s Cartoon Network line is sure to be a hit with the nostalgic among us. Each character we have come to love from the old Dexter’s Laboratory cartoons returns here on paper; Dexter, his sister Dee Dee and their worryingly unobservant parents. There is even a variant cover cameo appearance from the The Powerpuff Girls!

This first issue includes two separate devious plans from our young genius Dexter.

First up is his plot to utilise a potion that will allow him use of 100% of his brains capacity (we mere humans only us a fraction of our brains capabilities); this is followed by a machine that can allow dreams to become a reality. Dexter plans to use this machine and dream of a world where he is an only child. A world without Dee Dee.

Each story fills me with excitement at the return of these characters. I am really looking forward to seeing more cartoon adventures from these animated lunatics.
