What is thought to be the highest quality of Action Comics (1938) to go to auction, has sold on the the online auction site Ebay for a cool $3,207,852.00 and in doing so has broken current held record for the most expensive comic book in existence [beating a lesser quality copy of the same issue]. This is in no small part due to it being one of only two that has been graded as having white pages.

The seller [Pristine Comics: Owned by Darren Adams] included the following video [See: Below] about how the issue came into there possession and it is well documented.

With one percent of the sales going to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, that means the spinal cord charity set up in honor of the late Superman star and his wife, will earn around 32 grand off of the sale of this comic.

Proving that even if current tastes lean toward Marvel’s stable of characters when it comes to rare comics nothing will beat the first appearance of DC’s Man of Steel quite yet.
