Scoot McNairy’s Dawn of Justice role may not be as ‘Flashy’ as we first thought [SPOILERS]

[WARNING – POTENTIAL BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE SPOILERS!]

We previously covered the set photos that were leaked from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, showing Argo star Scoot McNairy wearing a green-screen suit from the knees down.

Scoot-McNairy-Pictured-As-Barry-Allen-On-The-Set-Of-Batman-V-Superman-On-detroitWhile initial internet speculation pointed in the direction of McNairy being set to play the big-screen version of The Flash, website The Devil’s Eyes claims to have the inside scoop from one of the Dawn of Justice extras on just who Scoot will be playing in the 2016 movie.

Here’s what the anonymous extra had to say;

“Scoot is playing Jimmy Olsen, but with a bit of a twist. Jimmy was injured during the battle of Zod vs Superman. His legs where pinned under falling building rubble and that caused him to lose the legs. He now walks with the use of two prosthetic legs. He doesn’t blame Superman for it [his loss of legs]. He feels grateful that Superman saved the world.”

Pinch of salt until anything official is confirmed, obviously, but this probably makes a lot more sense than McNairy as The Flash, Metallo, or any of the other big name character rumous swirling around.

So what do you think, folks?  Assuming this turns out to be true, are you happy to see Scoot as Jimmy, albeit a slightly different version?
