Deadline are reporting that the heavily rumoured “Gambit” solo movie starring Channing Tatum has now been made official.

Their article confirms that Robocop writer Josh Zetumer will pen the screenplay, and that Tatum will serve as a producer alongside Reid Carolin.  The screenplay is said to be based on a treatment from the legendary Chris Claremont, who co-created Gambit alongside Jim Lee back in 1990.
