Zenith artist Steve Yeowell signing at Aberdeen’s Asylum Books & Games this Saturday!

zenith1-625x300Aberdeen, Scotland is sometimes unfairly looked upon as being something of a comics wasteland.  However, with no less than three thriving (and pleasingly distinctive) comic shops located within just a few minutes walk of one another, not to mention next year’s eagerly anticipated Granite City Comic Con, it’s safe to say that the city is looking to shed that wholly inaccurate perception.

Of these three shops, Aslyum Books & Games has built something of a reputation for impressive signing events, with creators such as Mike Carey, D’Isreali, Declan Shalvey, John McCrea and David Lloyd having attended events there in the past. Well, this coming Saturday, that list prepares to grow as none other than acclaimed 2000AD artist Steve Yeowell will be in store to sign copies of the recently released hardback edition of Zenith: Phase One, written by Grant Morrison.

We recently reviewed Zenith: Phase One on the page, with Jules giving the book a glowing ★★★★★ review and summing it up by saying “If you’ve any interest in Superhero comics at all, Zenith is essential. Simple as that.”

So if you’re a comicbook fan and live within driving distance of Aberdeen, you really owe it to yourself to get along to Asylum this Saturday.  Head over to the official Facebook Event Page for more details.

I’ll hopefully see you there!
