constantine-bannerReports coming from Deadline today suggest that Constantine, NBC’s adaptation of the series HELLBLAZER, is coming to an end. The series is now set to end after 13 episodes, instead of a full season.

All is not lost though, NBC was forced to make a decision on the series after just 4 episode, compared to the normal 7 that a debut series normally gets. This could be because the show was delayed until late October for a Halloween release. What this does mean though is that the series isn’t cancelled indefinitely, just that the series has been cut short.

The news comes after the series gets its highest ratings yet with episodes 4 and 5, and the series really seems to be hitting it’s stride with regards to story telling and fan service. I think i speak for everyone when i say that it would be a massive mistake foe the studio to cancel the series so prematurely, with such incredible storylines to come.

One response to “NBC’s Constantine To Be Cancelled?”

  1. Haven’t seen Constantine here in UK yet, its only available on Amazon Prime atm, but I certainly hope the show doesn’t get cancelled so soon. I’ve heard good things about it and think it would be shame to lose the series so quickly, especially as you say the ratings are so good for it. Fingers crossed it gets another season. I’ll look forward to checking the show out whatever happens, as Constantine is one of my fave comic book characters :D
