Release Date: 3rd June, 2015

Where do i start with this book? The incredible art? The well thought out story? Maybe just the fact that it’s so brutally intense I’ve read all 3 issues twice this week? All of these are true, but I guess we’ll start with the writing team….

Powell and Wiesch have thrown their hats in the ring of the Revenge/Thriller genre, previously dominated by one Jason Aaron and they’ve done so in true style. Fans of Powell’s other work with find few surprises here, but chances are will be no less shocked by what’s in the issue. For those unaware though, be warned, this is a dark one! We’re a little closer to finding out just what’s in the letter, and yet none the wiser. Though we do get more in site into what’s driving the Big Man to do what he’s doing.

Powell is no stranger to crafting beautiful artwork, as fans of The Goon can attest, just because the subject matter is gruesome, is doesn’t mean the book has to be ugly. With well thought out page layouts, an incredible colour palate, and nothing held back, the book looks nothing short of incredible. Especially *that* page. You’ll know the one.

If the last issue of the series is anything as perfect as this one then it’s going to be a near perfect piece of work that will be remembered for years to come.

Now I know what wrenches are really for….

Rating: 5/5.
