Tom Hardy to adapt Vertigo’s 100 Bullets!

Hollywood Reporter have revealed that Tom Hardy is to produce and potentially star in an adaptation of Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso’s 100 Bullets.

Working under the New Line banner, the Mad Max star will produce the film with partner Dean Baker as part of their Hardy Son & Baker shingle, while a script is already in the bag via The Vatican Tapes’ writer Chris Borelli.

100 Bullets ran for an impressively symmetrical 100 issues as part of DC’s Vertigo imprint between 1999 and 2009.

Originally focusing on the mysterious Agent Graves and his one-time deal of a gun, 100 bullets and the identity of whoever ruined your life, the acclaimed comic soon expanded into a sprawling epic that more than justified its lengthy run, winning Eisner and Harvey awards along the way.

Geoff Johns and Adam Schlagman are overseeing for DC while over at New Line Richard Brener, Walter Hamada and Dave Neustadter are looking after the briefcase.
More news on this as we get it.
