Details of Rachel McAdams’ DOCTOR STRANGE role revealed!
Courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, we have a little more information about the character Rachel McAdams will be playing in next year’s Doctor Strange movie.
While the character’s name (along with the name of the villain to be played by Mads Mikkelsen) is still being kept under wraps, Marvel Studios president Keven Fiege shed a little light on the character, saying “Rachel McAdams plays a fellow surgeon that has a history with Strange and is his sort of lynchpin to his old life, once he steps into he role of a sorcerer. She is someone he connects with at the beginning, and reconnects with, and helps anchor his humanity.”
Executive Producer Stephen Broussard added “So, she sees him before, she sees him after. She’s kind of this audience point of view.”
Benedict Cumberbatch, who will be playing the Sorceror Supreme himself in the upcoming movie, threw in his own two cents, adding “I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say what the interest is. But I hit on her more than the Ancient One, put it like that.”
Doctor Strange will hit cinemas in the UK on October 28th, 2016.
