Edinburgh Comic Con 2016 Update!

With just under a month to go until the event on the 2nd and 3rd of April, we thought it’d be a great time to update you on some of the latest news regarding next month’s Edinburgh Comic Con.

The guest list has expanded significantly since our earlier coverage of the event, with additions including Jim Calafiore (LEAVING MEGALOPOLIS), John Lees and Iain Laurie (AND THEN EMILY WAS GONE) and Brad Walker (GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY).

The sheer variety of guests has definitely impressed thus far, with big names from the likes of Marvel and DC sharing billing alongside small press sensations, and with more announcements still to come, this is definitely shaping up to be one of the best ECC events yet.

It has also been announced that an unofficial after-party will take place on the evening of Saturday 2nd April from 7pm – 1am at the Blind Poet on West Nicholson Street in Edinburgh. Featuring geeky quizzes, Cosplay prizes and a 20% discount on drinks for ECC attendees, it’s definitely a good way to spend your evening if you’re planning on spending the weekend in Edinburgh. You can find more info on the Facebook Event Page.

On Sunday, an anniversary screening of Electric Man will take place, with the writer and director both being in attendance. You can feast your eyes on the trailer below.

So, whatever the level or nature of your geekdom, it’s looking pretty promising that you’ll be able to find something to excite you at Edinburgh Comic Con. We’ll be in attendance for the entire weekend, and hope to see as many of your friendly faces there as possible.

Until then, make sure to follow Edinburgh Comic Con on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest announcements and updates.

Tickets are available from the Hero Conventions website.
