DC Announce Justice League Dark Animated Film!
DC Comics has been struggling to launch their live-action films, but their animated adaptations have almost always been well received. We at the Big Comic Page are waiting with anxious excitement for their upcoming project based on Alan Moore’s “The Killing Joke.” Even though it isn’t out yet, it looks like might already know what the next DC animated movie will be or at least which team it will feature.
The British Board of Film Classification has posted that “Batman: The Killing Joke” will have bonus material, and one of them has been labeled A Sneak Peak at Justice League Dark.
Mentioned briefly in my reviews of “Batman: Assault on Arkham” and The CW’s “Vixen,” these animated properties seem to be a testing ground for DC Comics. Before David Ayers’ “Suicide Squad,” Task Force X could only be seen on screen in “Justice League Unlimited,” “Arrow” and “Assault on Arkham.” Similarly Megalyn Echikunwoke voiced Mari McCabe aka Vixen before suiting up with Team Arrow this season.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Guillermo’s script gets rewritten either just before announcing the animated Justice League Dark movie or shortly after it release. Either way. It sounds like John Constantine and Co. won’t be spending too much in development hell.
