FX celebrates upcoming Legion TV show with New York Art Exhibit

FX is celebrating “Legion” all weekend long with an immersive art gallery titled Where?House located at Villain in Williamsburg, Brooklyn until Jan. 29.

Four exhibits – “Suspension of Disbelief” by Michael Murphy, “Doors” by Clemens Behr, “Lovers” by Kumi Yamashita and “Legion” by David Flores – are all inspired by the series and will take attendees further into the mind of “Legion” protagonist David Haller played by Dan Stevens.

Where?House kicked off the festivities yesterday, but it’s open to the general public this weekend Saturday, January 28 from 12-7 PM and Sunday, January 29 from 12-4 PM.

Please note from 7-9 PM the exhibit will be a 21+ event which will feature specialty beer and music by DJ Alex Merrell.

As part of the celebration, FX has five interactive murals located in New York, Illinois and California. They take advantage of augmented reality though use of the Blipper app.

The murals can be found at the following locations:

  • Brooklyn, NY @ St. Nicholas Avenue & Jefferson Street
  • New York, NY @ Bleecker Street & Carmine Street
  • Chicago, IL @ W. North Avenue & N. Western Avenue
  • Los Angeles, CA @ Hollywood Boulevard & Vine Street
  • San Francisco, CA @ Fillmore Street & Union Street

Since we know that not everyone in these locations, you can go to the following website: Inside Legion and participate in the Evaluation, Experience and Exploration of “Legion.”

You can also get a copy of the mural at participating comic book stores listed below.

Despite all the marketing and even this art gallery, we really don’t know what to expect from this series, which is pretty exciting. “Legion” premieres on Feb. 8 on FX.img_1038
