Geeking Out – Kick-Starter Your Summer

Prizes galore you say? Tell me more, you say?

Yes, I’m back with more geeky clickbait as I reveal who won our immense prize for the fantastic Street Wars NYC Kickstarter from Funky Skull games. Not only that, but this is your first chance to get an entry to Graven’s Great Geeky Giveaway, a huge prize bonanza which will include a bonus Street Wars prize.

But before we get to all that, let’s have a look at the models for Street Wars NYC.

Let’s face it, we’ve all been stung by a Kickstarter we’ve pledged to in the past, and if we haven’t, we probably now someone who has.  So knowing that there’s metal in hand is a great relief to a lot of folk.

Here you can see a selection of models from the two basic gangs, the Black Cobras and the Devil’s Outcasts, along with the pimp mack daddy hisself, The Saint (KS promo).

What should be apparent pretty quickly is how crisp the casting is here. No flash, no mould lines – nada. These are really well done, evocative models, that wouldn’t look out of place on any tabletop. I’m really torn by which I prefer: though they all have loads of character, the Black Cobras are really channelling the 70s vibe, whilst the Outcasts are usable in just about any skirmish game. Get both, I say ;)

Here’s a scale shot, for reference:

From L-R: Martian Manhunter (KM’s DCU), Scarecrow (Studio), The Saint (Funky Skull), Scum (Funky Skull), Zombie Cop (Mantic’s The Walking Dead). As you can see, they scale well, coming in pretty much bang on true 28mm, good for all your needs.

So there’s a week left on the Kickstarter folks, and though it’s funded, there are still a lot of incredibly funky stretch goals to be unlocked, so get out there, get a bargain, and get groovin’ – don’t be a jive sucker.

Now, onto the prizes:

Firstly, our “mysterious super-fly prize with added Funk” is actually a Warlord-level pledge for the Kickstarter valued at £65, featuring both gangs and a PDF version of the rules!

And the winner is… Adam Brown!

And, because Funky Skull Games are such extra lovely people, we also have a  New Blood-level pledge for the Kickstarter  to give away (digital rules and access to pledge manager), which goes to… Ron Senior!

Get in touch with us at admin@bigcomicpage.com for details of how to claim your prizes, guys.

Oh, but that’s not all, because we’re also going to be throwing in a Lieutenant-level pledge (a gang of your choice) to out Graven’s Great Geeky Giveaway, which will include a whole host of prizes, so be sure to keep Geeking Out!

So, to enter yourself into the running for the Giveaway, you first need to like Big Comic Page on Facebook.
