Zachary Levi gives us our first look at SHAZAM!

Zachary Levi has shared the first promotional material for SHAZAM! on his Instagram page during the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas.

Set for release in April 2019, the movie sees Levi playing the title hero alongside Asher Angel, who will play his 14 year-old alter ego Billy Batson.

The film will see Batson being granted the powers of six ancient heroes by a dying wizard, before being launched headlong into a superhero career as he is forced to battle Mark Strong’s Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.

Shazam, which has been on and off the DC slate in various stages since the early 2000s, will be directed by David F. Sandberg (Lights Out, Annabelle: Creation).
