Star Wars: The Clone Wars Returns For a Surprise Seventh Season [SDCC18]
Returning to the front lines of a battlefield in a galaxy far, far away is Star Wars: Clone Wars.
Catering to nostalgia, the teaser using snippets of clone voiceovers which include but aren’t limited to Rex, Cody and the batch of shinnies, reminding us again that this series was just as much their story as it was Obi-Wan’s, Anakin’s or even Asoka’s.
The footage continues to reveal a hanger similar in design to the Rebel base on Yavin IV where Rex, Anakin and one of the Bad Batch clone troopers watch as a fleet of Republic cruisers take off.
The last scene provides a glimpse at an older Obi-Wan and Anakin being called in by Rex who has received a transmission from Skywalker’s former Padawan Ashoka Tano.
There is still no word on when the series is set to air, but the revival will consist of 12 episodes. Be sure to follow both StarWars.com and the Big Comic Page for updates.
