Peter Capaldi joins James Gunn’s Suicide Squad Sequel Cast

Deadline are reporting that Doctor Who actor Peter Capaldi is the latest addition to the cast of James Gunn’s upcoming Suicide Squad sequel. His role is yet to be revealed.

Capaldi joins Idris Elba, John Cena, David Dastmalchian, Daniela Melchior and Storm Reid in the rapidly expanding cast, alongside returning stars Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney and Viola Davis.

Nathan Fillion and Taika Waititi are also allegedly in negotiations to star in the  Warner Bros. sequel, set to hit cinemas on August 6th 2021.

A table read is apparently set to take place on September 11th, with the production expected to officially start a cuple of weeks later on the 23rd of September.
