Christian Bale in talks to Join MCU in “Thor: Love and Thunder” Mystery Role

As confirmed by the Hollywood Reporter, four-time Oscar nominee Christian Bale is in talks to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as part of the cast of Thor: Love and Thunder – although his role is being kept under wraps for the time being.

Bale obviously has some serious superhero pedigree, having played Bruce Wayne/Batman in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, but his made a point of avoiding franchise movies since the series wrapped up in 2012.

As expected, the internet is already awash with speculation of who Bale will be playing in the Taika Waititi directed movie, set to hit cinemas on November 5th 2021, with fan-favourite Beta Ray Bill already proving to be a lot of people’s front-runner.

For our money though, we think Marvel’s own Jason Aaron – the writer of perhaps the greatest Thor run of all time (yeah, we said it) – has had the best suggestion so far.
