Premiere Date Confirmed for DC Universe’s Live-Action STARGIRL Series
DC Universe have confirmed that their upcoming live-action Stargirl series will premiere on the streaming service on Monday the 11th of May.
The series stars Brec Bassinger in the leading role of Courtney Whitmore (aka Stargirl) a high school senior who discovers that her stepfather was secretly a superhero sidekick. And, after “borrowing” Starman’s long-lost cosmic staff, she is able to channel his impressive powers, becoming a hero herself in the process.
Luke Wilson will pay Pat Duggan (aka “Stripesy”), Courney’s stepfather, and the series will also include several other fan-favourite DC characters such as Tigress (played by Joy Osmanski), Wildcat (played by Yolanda Montez), Dragon King (Nelson Lee) and Doctor Mid-Nite (Anjelika Washington).
While DC Universe still isn’t available in the UK, previous live-action shows such as Swamp Thing and Titans have made the jump to Amazon Prime fairly quickly, so it’s reasonable to suggest this one will do the same.
