Brand New Arc “A Parliament of Magpies” Kicks off in Once & Future #13 [PREVIEW]
After doing battle with King Arthur, Beowulf and Grendel, retired monster hunter Bridgette McGuire and her grandson Duncan have to be wondering what other stories and historical horrors could be dredged up to wreak havoc on the country. And this November, they’re about to find out in ONCE & FUTURE #13, which kicks off a brand new arc entitled “A Parliament of Magpies” in the BOOM! Studios series from bestselling writer Kieron Gillen, award-winning artist Dan Mora, colourist Tamra Bonvillain and letterer Ed Dukeshire.
We’ve been massive fans of ONCE & FUTURE since it first popped up on our radars back in 2019, and watching what was originally planned as a six-part miniseries continue to expand this hugely entertaining world of legends, myths and unmistakably British humour has been an absolute treat.
The second trade paperback, collecting issues #7-12 of the series, is set to go on sale November 11th, with issue #13 hitting shelves and digital formats a week later on the 18th of November. But if that’s too long to wait, you can check out a five-page preview below:
