Mando Monday – The Child and Star Wars: The Black Series Figures for Spring 2021

A double dose of Geeking Out? #Thisistheway indeed, and another Mando Monday is here – literally, in our case, because we’ve had no wi-fi for 4 days. Tragic, end of the world stuff but #spoileralert #nospoilers we’ve seen it now, so that’s fine and dandy. And this week there’s a slew of 6 inch Black Series figures clocking in at £20 apiece, coming out in the Spring to tide you over.

Shore Trooper, Hover Tank Driver and Death Trooper – all here to flesh out the ranks of your mighty empire. Now there’s plenty of folk out there who love to have every iteration of the trooper, so these are a welcome addition to re-enacting all your favourite scenes. But my favourite of the lot has to be the Tusken Raider, which has amazing deco detailing as well, of course, of being fully poseable.

Of course, it’s possible I lied as there is another huge new Black Series special and that’s the legendary Bo-Katan Kryze. It’s a stunning, photoreal head mould that really wouldn’t look out of place on a Hot Toy – it’s amazing just how far 6-inch figs have come. Great accessories too, make for an absolutely first rate display fig.

There’s some fun stuff this month too, really milking the cute factor: the cuddly convertible Child in folding Hideaway Plush Hover Pram (£20) is simply adorable, and will definitely lead to a Mandalorian stand-off between my kids if they see it. Hopefully, I’ll be able to distract 2 of them with these adorable 2-pack pocket figures (£15 for 2) giving us a selection of Grogu’s greatest comedy moments.
