Blake Lively to star in Netflix Adaptation of Dark Horse’s Lady Killer
Dark Horse Comics have just announced that Blake Lively has been cast in the just-announced Netflix adaptation of their Eisner-nominated series LADY KILLER, from Joëlle Jones and Jamie S. Rich.
Academy Award Winner Diablo Cody (Tully, Juno) is set to adapt the screenplay, with Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg of Dark Horse Entertainment, and Blake Lively and Kate Vorhoff of B for Effort, serving as producers.
Lady Killer, which we’ve raved about quite a lot over the years here at the Big Comic Page, tells the story of Josie Schuller, an outwardly perfect 1950s housewife who secretly moonlights as a highly-trained killer for hire.

“Brilliantly paced, gloriously rendered, shockingly violent and utterly empowering, Lady Killer takes a refreshing look at the era of the quiet, subservient housewife and throws in some shockingly brutal violence for good measure. Featuring slick dialogue, engaging characters and a slow build to a show-stopping conclusion, I honestly can’t recommend this series highly enough.”
