Shang-Chi Sequel Confirmed
Variety have confirmed that a sequel to the critically and commercially successful “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” is on its way. Not only that, but Destin Daniel Cretton is set to return as director.
“Shang-Chi” is currently is the highest-grossing film at the domestic box office with $224.5 million, and has brought in just short of $432 million at the worldwide box office.
Speaking about the announcement, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said “Destin is an amazing collaborator who brought a unique perspective and skill to ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.’ We had a fantastic time working together on the film and he has so many intriguing ideas for stories to bring to life on Disney Plus, so we’re thrilled to expand our relationship with him and can’t wait to get started.”
No details regarding the cast, plot or release date have been confirmed yet.
