Mattel releases Masters of the Universe 40th Anniversary 4-Pack Featuring Four “Iconic” Versions of He-Man

To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of He-Man & The Masters of the Universe, Mattel are releasing a He-Man Anniversary 4-Pack, containing some of the most iconic versions (and the god-awful ponytailed New Adventures abomination) of the Most Powerful Man in the Universe ™.

Available for pre-order on Thursday September 15th at 9:00am Pacific Time (CLICK HERE) and retailing at a hefty $150, the pack contains four 5.5″ collectible figures, each with 16 points of articulation, including He-Man from the ’80s Filmation Series, the ’90s New Adventures Series, the 200x MOTU series, and the most recent “CGI” Netflix He-Man and the Master of the Universe series.

Each figure comes with exclusive VUM accessories, and has true-to-character details to look like each decade’s TV version (yes, even the ponytail).

The collector’s set also comes in premium “TV” packaging complete with programming designs from each era and an Eternia tube slipcover, which you can feast your eyes on below.

While the hardcore collectors are already clamouring to get their hands on this collection, there’s a general feeling amongst the online MOTU community that the eye-watering price point – not to mention the inclusion of the New Adventures and CGI versions, two He-Men whose looks haven’t exactly been met with a lot of approval over the years – makes this an easy release to skip.

Regardless, it’s cool to see Mattel doing things like this to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Masters of the Universe, and once again, if you’re looking to pre-order this bad boy tomorrow, you can do so by CLICKING HERE.
